Born and raised in New York, educated at Notre Dame with a BS in Civil Engineering, Matt moved to Park City Utah in 1979 for 'one ski season'. His first job included the design and construction of the Deer Valley Ski Resort. He then worked for the Utah Dam Safety Section for 20 years and then as an Assistant State Engineer before retiring in 2010. He now consults with Loughlin Water Associates in Utah and Otis Bay Ecological Consultants in Verdi Nevada as a Professional CIvil Engineer and Hydrologist. He has been an active member of ASDSO for thirty years, serving on numerous committees and advisory boards.
